A cost-effective surveillance solution, the TVR 30 features H.264 video compression technology that allows users to save high- quality images into smaller file sizes for easier storage and streaming over an Ethernet network. Any range of recorded video can be easily copied to a blank recordable CD or DVD and played back without installing any software on the playback PC.

The Record Wizard makes programming easy—by entering the number of days to store video, the DVR programs itself. Up to 16 channels of audio can be recorded for applications requiring audio which is played in sync with video. The dual-streaming feature makes it easier to transmit video and audio over low- bandwidth networks.

The TVR 30 is a fit-and-forget solution, with a simple search function for reviewing video. External alarm inputs and motion detection trigger an alarm when movement in a user-definable area of the image is detected. The feature set includes complete search by alarm, motion, and time and date. Video evidence is easily archived to an external device connected through a USB 2.0 port—and because USB 2.0 is hot-swappable, an external device can be connected at any time. Transferring video information is quick and easy, as the TVR 30 creates a file that can be viewed by any PC with a TVR 30 player, making it ideal for retail, education, police interrogation rooms and small commercial applications.

Delivering support for up to 12 or 24 IP video streams, the TVN 40 features 2TB–4TBs of onboard storage in a JBOD configuration. Supported IP cameras include GE Security’s IP fixed and PTZ cameras as well as other leading manufacturer models. Enhanced versatility is available for mixed IP and analog applications through the UltraView EVP Encoder 10, a single-channel, H.264 analog encoder. As additional IP cameras are added in GE Nav, they will be supported by the NVR through firmware updates without additional hardware changes.

Two camera options are available—a 27x optical zoom and 37x optical zoom. Both cameras feature true day/night, WDR, 12X digital zoom and EIS. The WDR feature is ideal for use in high contrast lighting conditions and intelligently adjusts the amount of compensation that is required for an ideal image. Digital zoom extends the range of the cameras beyond standard optical zoom lenses. This EIS stabilization feature offers additional image improvements when the camera is installed in areas subject to vibration. The integrated shroud conceals camera position.

Cameras can be mounted into housings featuring alarms and relays for direct wiring to nearby sensors. In addition, firmware updates are capable through the same interface as the PTZ. Indoor and outdoor housings are designed to hold up in a variety of environmental conditions, with standard outdoor housings achieving an IP66 environmental rating, and can operateto –40 degrees F/C with the optional heater.

A special day/night light sensor in the dome controls day/night mode and has multiple thresholds. With a choice to use either the external sensor or the camera sensor, users can select the one that provides best settings for a camera’s position. An auto slow shutter feature on the day/night cameras slows down shutter speed for better images in dark areas.

UltraView PTZ allows the user to preset up to 128 positions, repeatable to within ±0.1 degree. Set areas, privacy masks, and preset and Shadow Tours for maximum surveillance.

Variable-speed pan/tilt lets users move the camera through surveillance areas at any of 32 speeds, with a maximum pan/tilt of 340 degrees per second.

The Quick Spin feature lets the camera spin automatically when the bottom of tilt travel is reached. It can track motion directly under a camera without losing the picture.

Set specific operations when the camera is powered on or when no external command is received in a defined period of time. Operations include calling a preset position or initiating a preset tour or a Shadow Tour.

UltraView Cam WDR - High-resolution, wide dynamic range, traditional box camera

The UltraView Cam WDR is the next generation in Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) cameras. The UltraView Cam WDR uses the latest XPosureTM image analysis technology to provide world-leading performance in challenging lighting conditions combined with dramatically improved low-light performance. XPosure technology optimizes the exposure for each pixel on the sensor, showing details in shadows and highlights. This performance allows every detail to be captured accurately even in the most difficult lighting conditions such as lobbies, loading docks, retail applications and ATMs with bright backlight. XPosure technology reads the sensor several dozen times per second resulting in a dynamic range 100 times better than standard CCD cameras—up to 120 dB in normal operations.

Another advantage of the UltraView Cam WDR is its low-light performance. The camera provides image analysis through tunable gain stepping and individual color saturation sliders which allow fine-tuning to fit each application and specific need. The UltraView Cam WDR is dual-temperature-calibrated at the factory, so it automatically adjusts gain, white balance and other settings based on its environment, providing the best possible images in any situation, at any temperature.

Setup is easy with the five-button digital OSD (on-screen display) interface which controls white balance, gain, and iris control, as well as other common features.
